Cann somebody explain to me how the graphs of investing and stock market work?

(i wuold like to what the lines and bars mean and the numbers somebody explain)

Answer :

Hi, Superman,

Basic chart information does show the price trend of a
security.

The most important thing to remember, though – is not to make a chart more important than it really is.

They can’t foretell the future. Tomorrow the price may go up — or down. Today’s graph can’t tell you that. However, there’re a lot of people who claim it can. If they really knew how to foretell prices, they’d be the richest people on Earth.

So what’s much more important is whether the stock pays a dividend, what the dividend yield is, whether the company has a history of raising dividends (some have, every year for over 100 years), and whether the company’s business is solid.

best, Rick Stooker
