Nikkei opens flat ahead of corporate earnings reports
Tokyo stocks opened flat on Wednesday ahead of looming Japanese corporate earnings reports.
In the first 15 minutes of trading, the benchmark Nikkei-225 index gained 5.62 points, or 0.05 percent, from Tuesday to 10,330. 90.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was down 0.55 point, or 0.06 percent, to 915. 85. The Second Section also lost ground.
